Placertopia Live: The Podcast

Why a podcast

Placertopia Live; The Podcast is a unique cultural talk show dedicated to exploring and celebrating local arts and culture happening in the City of Placerville, CA. The program is recorded live on audio and video in Placerville’s Green Room Social Club and made available on podcast platforms and YouTube. It's hosted by Paul Godwin, and produced by Myrtle Tree Arts, with Associate Producer, Rina Wakefield, through kind support from the Green Room Social Club and Placerville Cannabis Community Fund. 

Upcoming Event:

Join us for our annual art show on Saturday, June 12th from 10am to 4pm at the Myrtle Tree Arts Center. This year's show features works from over 50 local artists in a variety of mediums. Admission is free and all are welcome!

WHO's on the show

Each show includes a feature interview, a musical guest, and regular segments with “The Bookery Reads,” “Outdoors with Aidan,” and “Hop-Up” - an opportunity for citizens/guests to promote any interesting activities they are presenting.

Completing a run to two seasons, Placertopia Live is designed to fill a need for staying in touch with local musical performers, artists, writers, and culture-makers. Through interviews with historians, artisans, shopkeepers, and other members of the community, the show shines a spotlight on local perspectives and talents to foster a sense of unity and collaboration,  amplify diverse voices, and promote wider cultural exchanges.
